"ｉｔ ｍａｄｅ ｍｅ ｊｕｓｔ ａｓ ｈａｐｐｙ”
My English professor signed his email with “Good Carrots” I think?
I know it’s trendy to fight the system and cry that we are all becoming slaves of technology, but this attitude overlooks that computers and phones are tools for communicating. When someone thinks I’m an idiot smiling at a machine, I’m actually smiling at my girlfriend who is 10000 miles away and whom I would have never met if not for these newfangled electronics. As they say: when the wise man points to the moon, the fool looks at the finger.
This is a topic that I’ve been wanting to tackle for a while now; much credit to this excellent post for bringing it to the front of my brain.
very fucking punny you shits

Because black people cant be anything other than slaves and hoodrats according to them.
We cant like science, photography and things. We can’t be complex individuals.
We can’t have our stories be seen as universal because Blackness is tainted by white supremacy.
A YMCA in St. Paul, Minnesota is now offering swim practice once a week to the community’s Muslim Somali girls, offering the girls a safe environment to learn how to swim while accounting for their concerns about modesty.
While Minnesota’s newspaper noted that this is an important and much-needed program for the community, Fox News saw the story as an opportunity to broadcast their signature brand of fearmongering Islamophobia.
Fox’s Heather Nauert:
Well the minority becoming the majority at one community pool.
Sharia law is now changing everything.
A YMCA in Minneapolis-St. Paul is starting a swim group for Muslim girls but special considerations have to be made to keep with their religious beliefs. Now this means during the one-hour class, the pool is being shut down, the men’s locker room is being locked, and female lifeguards are being brought in. Similar classes are now starting at towns across the Midwest. We’ll keep watching this story for you.
Wimminz getting privacy?
(actually think this is really awesome and sweet and a ladies only swim class would have protected me from a lot of sexual harrassme as a lil one)
Leave it to Fox News to shit on everything like always.
They mention bringing in female lifeguards like it’s a bad thing. What the hell?
I wanted to show that men and women can be friends without having a relationship,” says del Toro of the relationship between the two main characters Mako (played by Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi) and Raleigh (“Sons of Anarchy” star Charlie Hunnam). “Theirs is a story about partnership, equality and a strong bond between partners. It’s important for little girls to know not every story has to be a love story and for boys to know that soldiers aren’t the only ones to triumph in war.
I think I might I’ve read all Pacific Rim related post on internet and this quote give me so many feels. Guillermo del toro is such a great guy. I should start to work on real life, but Pacific Rim is way much better.
I feel like we need a lot more of this in media. Because it’s true, that’s why.

Can we just stop and talk about this for a minute?
Thresh doesn’t make an alliance. Thresh doesn’t waste time liking her. Thresh knows that either he must kill her or she must kill him for one of them to win.
But this is the only way he can repay her for protecting Rue when he couldn’t. It’s the only way he can repay her for honoring Rue when he couldn’t. He honors her by sparing her friend, the girl who would have died for her.
The revolution really doesn’t start with Katniss.
It starts with Rue.
SOMEBODY FINALLY SAID IT
